What on Earth is Chiron doing?

Chiron

Chiron is named after the wounded healer of mythology. Wounded and unable to heal himself Chiron turned to healing others. In our birth charts Chiron shows where we may be hurt or suffer in some way. If we think of the birth chart as a jigsaw puzzle then Chiron is where there is a bit missing.

The connections we have to Chiron in our birth chart are an indications of how we may encounter problems and how we may overcome them. Very often it is through helping others that we heal ourselves as was the case with the mythical Chiron.

This alignment of Pluto, planet of power, and Chiron the healer, has great potential, although its influence may not be that dramatic or noticeable. This is a positive alignment that can help to clear past hurts. It is a time of transformation, rebirth and regeneration. Continuing Strong influence Chiron conjunct Neptune.

Neptune and Chiron continue a close connection through 2012. This conjunction will continue to be a feature of the astrological 'climate' for a number of years.

The combination of Chiron, the planet related to healing, and Neptune offers us an opportunity to heal divisions. What is unique about us is what makes us different but it can also set us apart. Multi ethnicity is as much a part of our world today as are the multi cultural societies with their multi faiths. These are part and parcel of the Aquarian Age. Perhaps the healing magic of Chiron can work its wonders for the Aboriginal people who in so many cases made great sacrifices in the building of our modern world and in some instances still struggle to find their place in it. What we wouldn't give for the common sense, respect and reverence that made their lives on this Earth so sustainable!

Another feature of the Neptune-Chiron alignment relates to the unseen realms that come under the rulership of Neptune. These are said to range from the collective unconscious to the spirit realms and astral planes. Here again a great deal of healing is possible especially with Jupiter in Pisces, the sign that is ruled by Neptune, this year. This is a powerful time for all forms of 'spiritual' healing, although hypnosis and other fields of mind work will probably benefit.

Finally there is of course the medical world. The combination of Chiron and Neptune will have a very strong influence here especially with regard to DNA and genetic engineering. The progress made in recent years look set to continue with more and more diseases being genetically identified. That being half the story, the other being a cure.

Chiron in Pisces

The presence of Chiron in Pisces is felt by us all. The boundary less nature of Pisces means we catch infectious illnesses more easily; coughs and colds are a constant threat. Fortunately at the same time some of the complimentary or vibrational medicines available will prove most effective at tackling the infections.

Pisces also governs the unseen world of Spirit and esoteric matters such as past lives and Karma. It is therefore likely that the healing of Chiron is taking place in the world today in ways we may not be aware of. We could be receiving more help than we know, and should not underestimate the power of prayer at this time. Chiron is healing the past which means that hurts we have forgotten may come back to be healed and cleared.

The positive attributes of Pisces include prayer as already mentioned, also the development of trust, in ourselves and life. The opposite is fear, and to live with worry and anxiety as we know is bound to have a negative affect on our health. I often find myself quoting the 'serenity' prayer, but really there is no finer way of expressing in words the healing nature of Chiron in Pisces.
