WHAT ON EARTH IS NEPTUNE DOING
Neptune is in Aquarius until 2012
Moderate influence. Venus is trine to Neptune on 4th September. This is a good day to connect with others. Our intuition will work well.
Moderate influence. Mars is trine to Neptune on 10th September. This is a good day to follow our intuition and go with the flow of our energy.
Continuing Strong influence. Neptune and Chiron are aligned throughout 2010. This conjunction was a major influence through 2009 and will continue to be a feature of the astrological 'climate' for a number of years.
The combination of Chiron, the planet related to healing, and Neptune offers us an opportunity to heal divisions. What is unique about us is what makes us different but it can also set us apart. Multi ethnicity is as much a part of our world today as are the multi cultural societies with their multi faiths. These are part and parcel of the Aquarian Age. Perhaps the healing magic of Chiron can work its wonders for the Aboriginal people who in so many cases made great sacrifices in the building of our modern world and in some instances still struggle to find their place in it. What we wouldn't give for the common sense, respect and reverence that made their lives on this Earth so sustainable!
Another feature of the Neptune-Chiron alignment relates to the unseen realms that come under the rulership of Neptune. These are said to range from the collective unconscious to the spirit realms and astral planes. Here again a great deal of healing is possible especially with Jupiter in Pisces, the sign that is ruled by Neptune, this year. This is a powerful time for all forms of 'spiritual' healing, although hypnosis and other fields of mind work will probably benefit.
Finally there is of course the medical world. The combination of Chiron and Neptune will have a very strong influence here especially with regard to DNA and genetic engineering. The progress made in recent years look set to continue with more and more diseases being genetically identified. That being half the story, the other being a cure.

Neptune continues to bring a trick or treat aspect to our lives. One of the things we are learning is how to live with uncertainty; how to trust in the unknown. Whatever view or idea we have of the future it is unknown and to a great extent unpredictable. Fully embracing this concept can increase our awareness of the present and allow us better access to the right and appropriate steps to take towards manifesting a future which best serves us.
Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and all that is mysterious or lies hidden beyond our normal doors of perception. Neptune represent the unknown, and gives rise to the polar opposite experiences of fear and trust. Its presence in Aquarius, the sign that governs all humanity, has us all somewhat confused and at a very dynamic place in history. On the one hand we have the utopian visions of a new age where all can live in harmony and peace, while on the other we have the fear and suspicion that isolates us from others and keeps us from the unification that makes all Souls equal.
On a more personal level Neptune helps us to overcome fears surrounding change. All of us understandably base our security on what we know and what is familiar. This can however lead us to believe that we can not survive without these things and be fearful of losing them, and we can end up fearing change. However, through prayer, meditation and any other process that helps us to overcome these fears and accept change, Neptune seeks to give us faith in ourselves and trust in life.
This part of the well known 'Serenity' prayer sums it up rather nicely.
'Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the Courage to change the things I can
and the Wisdom to know the difference.'
