March 2010 planetary influences
Each month you will find a description of the planetary influences. They have been split into four sections. For the influences of the major planets scroll down
Mercury -
The Mind. This is represented in astrology by Mercury. A guide to how our thoughts may be influenced by the changing transits of Mercury through the month is recorded.
Venus - The Heart. This is represented by Venus which rules relationships. Our interactions with others are coloured by Venus as she travels through the various signs of the Zodiac making the qualities of that sign relevant in our connection with others.
Mars - Energy. In astrology the fiery planet Mars is considered the ruler of energy. In this section the changing influences of Mars on our energy and drive are recorded as it travels through the different signs of the zodiac.
The Moon - Feelings. In this paragraph the influence of the New and Full Moon phases are interpreted. These lunar phases can be used beneficially for specific purposes.
THE MIND. Mercury enters Pisces the sign of dreams and imagination on the 1st, so we can expect our intuition to work well this month. We need to make time for peace and quiet and remember that our mind can play tricks on us. Mercury and Pluto combine on the 4th allowing us to connect our minds with our instinct. On the 8th Mercury and Jupiter align and this can give us valuable insights, although it may be wise not to believe everything we see! On the 17th Mercury enters Aries and it is time to get going with new enterprises and adventures. Other aspects around the 17th & 18th are pretty challenging and in some cases we may experience being coerced or manipulated into standing up for what we believe.
THE HEART. Venus is in Pisces for the beginning of March, connecting with Uranus on the 4th. In combination with the Mercury aspect discussed above this makes the 4th a special day. The nature of Uranus is unpredictable so we can expect the unexpected where others are concerned. Venus enters Aries on the 7th immediately making an alignment to Mars that may light a fire under important relationship issues we may have been sitting on. Aspects around 9th & 11th can throw up important matters for discussion, and we may need to be more assertive if we are to get what we want. Aspects around the 29th are less intense and can be healing: tensions may lift allowing everyone more freedom to be themselves.
ENERGY. This is the Month that Mars gets going in forward motion again, yippee! From the 10th we should feel a lot more outgoing and expressive, and we now have the best part of three months to show the world and ourselves just how creative we can be. Passions can run high around the 7th making this an excellent weekend for fun activities, sport and pastimes. A Mars and Saturn alignment on 23rd can be used to steady the ship in terms of harnessing our creative energy; the influence of Saturn helping us to organise and give structure to our endeavours. Another effect of this alignment is to help us to control our desire to rule the world! We may proceed and succeed, but need to do it in a patient and appropriate way.
THE MOON. The New Moon on the 15th could have a decidedly weird feeling surrounding it. The Moon will be in Pisces and very close to the Mercury and Uranus conjunction mentioned above. If you have been praying for enlightenment, you just might get it. With the possibility of a ‘miracle’ in the air, and our prayers being answered, we naturally need to be careful of what we wish for! The Full Moon on the 30th is a very different affair. It takes place in the romantic sign of Libra so we may feel like connecting with loved ones and having a pleasant time. This is a useful Full Moon as it allows us to experience harmony and accord with others, and in this setting we should find it much easier to ask for what we need and share with others. Changing influence. Mars direct - see 'energy' above.
Weakening Influence. A series of challenging alignments between Saturn in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn continues. Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, the sign that presides over financial institutions and governing bodies. Pluto has been affecting a fundamental change in these areas by sorting out fact from fiction and focusing on what really matters. Libra is the sign represented by the scales of justice so it may well be that further reorganization and restructuring will be required at this time to address the problems of recent times.
Strong influence. An alignment of Neptune and Chiron last exact on the 14th February is still an influence. Go to the Neptune page for more.
