Moderating influence. Saturn is still square to Pluto, in the last of a series of aspects which were first exact at the beginning of 2010. We may see further powerful shifts and changes in the world of finances, governments and governing bodies around this time. The World Order is changing. Global economy, environmental change, issues of food, water and population are, and will be, becoming more important to each and everyone of us. As with the planetary influence mentioned above, this Saturn/Pluto aspect can have a profound effect on relationships. If things have not been working out then events around this time may bring things to a head, and avoiding the issue may no longer be an option. Hopefully the diplomacy of Saturn in Libra will ensure that matters are sorted out to the satisfaction of all concerned.

Saturn in Libra.

Saturn returned to Libra on the 21st July 2010 and it will occupy this sign which governs relationships until early October 2012. Over the coming years we will have an opportunity to grow wiser through our interaction with others. If we work in a counseling or advisory role, we should find we have plenty of work. In our personal relationships we will be looking at our commitments and responsibilities. Planetary influences around the 26th July and 21st August may bring important issues to the surface and mark a time when they will need attention. Libra is the sign of balance and equality therefore give and take is essential for us to maintain healthy relationships. 

Saturn first entered Libra on the 29th October 2009 the sign it last occupied in 1983. Libra governs relationships and partnerships. We all have Libra placed in our birth chart somewhere and it is in that area that we will be tested and learning the most from Saturn over the coming years. As the balancing affect of Saturn in Libra works on our relationships it will expose any inequalities or unhappiness that needs addressing. Our relationships act as a mirror, they support us in knowing who we are and provide us with the stimulus for positive growth. Where we feel restricted rather than empowered in relationship we will need to make changes. Saturn will help us to see what is of real value: separating fact from fiction, allowing us to see what is wishful thinking and hopeful expectation rather than reality. Over the coming years Saturn's influence in our world will help us to appreciate how the wisdom of dialogue and co-operation can be put to good use in resolving disputes and bringing the peace, harmony and justice that Libra stands for.
