WHAT ON EARTH IS URANUS DOING

Strong Influence 19th September. Jupiter aligns with Uranus in Pisces around 19th September and the combined influence of these two major planets can have a strong effect on our world. On a personal level we may experience insight and inspiration that is both magical and uplifting. If we have been trying to find a solution to an impasse it could now come to light. The nature of this planetary aspect suggests the answer may arrive out of the blue rather than as a result of hard work. Prayer and visualisation can play a vital part for us in the manifestation of our dreams and it may be in uncharted waters that our future lies. We may need to develop a detached attitude at this time if we are to avoid being drawn into a negative state of mind by world events that could create fear and uncertainty. Another influence of the Jupiter and Uranus alignment on our world may be seen through issues relating to water. Rising sea levels and other environmental concerns may be the subject of successful research which identifies the causes of the problems and also the solutions.

URANUS RETURNED is in PISCES

Uranus is in Pisces until 2011 although it makes a visit to Aries in 2010 as described above. Uranus is often referred to as the 'great awakener', as it helps us to see the whole picture and therefore be better placed to make enlightened choices. While transiting Pisces Uranus will have quite a significant effect on our dreams and ideas as it is in that area of our minds, often referred to as right brain activity, that it is most influential, this can lead to changes in the way our intuition works. Uranus is bringing wonderful innovations to light. The healing benefits of complementary medicine, and other 'alternative' or mystical sciences are slowly becoming more accepted in the mainstream of our society.

Uranus can work through sudden or disruptive events that shock and awaken us, connecting us to our humanness which may sometimes be a painful experience. The media, ruled by Uranus, sees that we have a front seat view of the challenges faced by humanity wherever in the world they may be. The revolutionising and modernising effect of Uranus will have a great influence on large public organisations, in particular health care services, although it is also affecting the prison services and other institutions.

Under the influence of Uranus having a place of spiritual retreat may become more popular for people seeking a refuge, or sanctuary, from the troubled world. Meditation, awareness and prayer groups are a manifestation of Uranus in Pisces as is the presence of Neptune in Aquarius. The heart-felt thoughts of people are contributing invisibly but positively to the etheric world that surrounds us. This aspect of Uranus's influenced will be greatly enhanced by Jupiter's presence in Aquarius through 2009.

URANUS RE-ENTERS ARIES 12th March 2011

Uranus entered Aries on 28th May 2010 and left on 14th August 2010 on this first visit to the sign of new beginnings. Aries governs action and initiative and the influence of these planets could set in motion major changes for us personally and globally. Uranus last occupied the sign between 1927 and 1935. During this period the Great Depression provided the climate in which many revolutionary and radical ideals were implemented, with varying consequences that shaped the modern world.

Jupiter joined Uranus in Aries at the beginning of June enhancing the influence of Uranus. Jupiter which occupies Aries every 12 years is generally associated with positive growth and our spiritual journey, while in Aries between the 28th May and the 14th August it will be encouraging us to explore new possibilities and experiences. We may gain many insights during this period but it could be late January 2011 when Jupiter again enters Aries before we set sail on these new adventures.

Aries is the sign of independence and Jupiter is asking us to use our initiative and be more decisive in our actions. If we have been dependent on people and vice versa, we may desire to change the situation where it is no longer appropriate or in the best interests of those concerned. Uranus is given rulership over many things, among them the worlds of Science and Technology.

While in Aries between the 28th May and the 14th August 2010, Uranus will alert us to the changes we may experience before it finally leaves Aries at the beginning of 2019. Advances in technology may take a new direction, and as Aries is associated with energy the inventive qualities of Uranus may inspire revolutionary advances in transport, having a positive impact on global resources such as oil and gas. Humanitarian issues are also governed by Uranus. Let us hope that its consciousness raising qualities help us to choose peace and diplomacy over war and aggression, thus avoiding the pain of the past.
